Five Friday Favourites
The first week of February is down! This past fortnight has been interesting to day the least, last Tuesday I had a job interview and I have heard nothing back so I while I am guessing I don't have the job nothing has been confirmed. I felt like I didn't do great on the interview and there were a few things about the job that made me wonder how I would go if I got it but I knew if I did get the job then God would help me with the concerns. I am definitely feeling the pressure to land a job at the moment and it's hard when the phone isn't ringing with interviews and there's little to no jobs around at the moment to apply for, but God has a plan right and I just need to keep moving forward. I have found a government job that has just come out today, so I have a feeling on Monday I will be spending it doing the selection criteria, submitting the application and then praying that I get an interview for the job (but whatever happens God is in control).
Health wise I feel like I am back to square one on getting some sort of diagnosis, the heart tests showed nothing to be of a concern which is great but also frustrating as there is no explanation as to why I am getting these dizzy spells and fatigue. I've also noticed that this week the dizzy spells seem to be affecting my walking it seems at least once a day I walk into a wall if I happen to be walking when a dizzy spell starts. I wrote a post with the an update on Tuesday but long story short I have been referred to a physio that specialises in vertigo who is meant to be amazing, so I have an appointment with him on Wednesday. I've had six pages of paperwork to fill out prior to this appointment and it's been entertaining working out what to say as some things they ask I find can apply to me in general just because due to Dyspraxia my balance has never been the greatest and I am clumsy. It's great that the physio wants a lot of information though so that's giving me confidence in him. I have been seeing my doctor every other week at the moment and when I'm not seeing him I am having various medical tests so I am hopeful that I will have some sort of diagnosis soon.
I'm trying to get back into what I enjoyed doing before all the fatigue and dizzy spells started as it's
really starting to take a toll on my mental health - I am not feeling super productive and I just want to feel normal again. I ended up making 640 tiny clay flowers last week which while I did feel exhausted while making them (I made them over 5 days) they did brighten up my mood, then yesterday I made 40 bees to stick in flower pots. I'm realising that I need to embrace this new normal for now and learn to accept my limitations. If I do something one day then I need a day of rest and going out at night isn't something I can do, as I crash after dinner and once it gets to 8.30pm I need to be in bed starting to unwind.
Onto Friday Favourites...
Mischa Drape Front Cardigan - I went into Jeanswest telling myself I didn't need this cardigan and to walk away from it, but I tried it on and I loved it. I do have a cardigan that I bought from Jeanswest last year but it's much heavier and not something I can throw in my bag in case the night just happens to get cooler. This cardigan fits perfectly, feels amazing and is small enough to take everywhere. Once the weather starts getting cooler I will definitely be wearing this on a regular rotation.
Francine Frill Sleeve Top - another Jeanswest purchase which I didn't need (so the speculation that it might be going out of business isn't helping my wallet considering the bulk of my wardrobe is from them). I am loving florals at the moment and it seems that Jeanswest has read my mind and keeps bringing out the cutest tops, I don't have enough green in my wardrobe and I figured I should fix it, it didn't hurt that this top is super flattering and the sleeves are really cute.
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody - as much as I love watching intense TV shows sometimes I just need something mindless and it's ok if I tune out. Growing up while I did see a few episodes of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody I never watched it from start to finish and as it's on Disney + I am enjoying catching up on what I missed. It's just a great show to have on in the background and it has some really funny parts as well.
Echosmith Stuck - this is one of my favourite songs on their latest album (which has been on repeat since it came out) and I am really relating to it - especially the lyric 'stuck inside a rollercoaster, I want to scream but I just can't get out...' because when you are experiencing dizzy spells all the time that's what it feels like plus I feel like I am stuck in this season of unemployment as well. It's well worth a listen and the video clip is really fun as well.
Kikki k Cat Planter (white) and Kikki K Cat Planter (midnight blue) - I swear everyone has gone indoor plant crazy and I somehow ended up buying these two planters with the idea of eventually filling them with plants. They are a good size - not to big or small and look really cute filled with or without plants. My sister actually has a grey one from a couple of years ago and it has held up really well and still looks new despite having had a plant in it for that time.
