Dizziness and me
In September 2019 I started having a few dizziness spells which eventually turned into consistent dizziness 24/7. I have spend close to (I estimate) $3000 on medical tests and seeing specialists since it began and we're still no closure to getting any answers. I figure as I talk about it so much on my blog it should have it's own page and timeline.
January 2020:
- This is the first post where it's mentioned in January 2020 almost 4 months after the dizziness began.
- What to expect for Holter Monitor, Echocardiogram and Glucose tests - these were my first round of medical tests when my normal blood tests came back fine.
- The second of many dizziness updates.
- A recap of the specialist physio I saw, this was when I was diagnosed with Vestibular Migraines and put on the Migraine Diet. The day after I saw the physio my dizziness became consistent (though some part of me wonders if it was already consistent I just didn't fully notice)
- The results of the first MRI I had came back normal. By this stage my doctor was almost positive it wasn't Vestibular Migraines as the symptoms didn't match up and the diet wasn't working.
May 2020:
- A post about how I go about living with dizziness and also answering questions I get frequently asked about it.
June 2020:
- The month I saw an ENT so of course I did a recap on the appointment.
July 2020:
- What to expect when you go for balance tests (VNG and Vemp)
- A day in the life of living with dizziness - this actually hasn't changed much despite the dizziness increasing.
- Neurologist recap.
- An update two weeks on from the neurologist appointment.
August 2020:
- A post about stopping the medication the neurologist put me on.
September 2020:
February 2021:
- Sharing the journal I kept for the first year of dizziness.
- The second lot of MRI results
- Things that help me cope with the dizziness
