Five Friday Favourites

I can't believe it's Friday and that we are in March already, a year since the pandemic caused chaos and we thought this would all blow over within a month or so (how wrong were we?!). Thankfully the vaccine is slowly rolling out and hopefully lockdowns will be a think of the past.

These past two weeks have been relatively busy with general appointments, a trip to Ikea, helping with church centenary stuff (which is this weekend) and dealing with my dizziness increasing yet again. I have days where I am coping fine but then other days where I just want to hide and check out of my body. My psych says what I am feeling is normal and if anyone is allowed to feel this way it's me. I'm giving myself lots of passes and trying to do one productive thing a day but if nothing else gets done then that's fine too.

Tomorrow night I'm having a girls night which will be nice, I am so thankful to have a couple of close girl friends who I see every couple of weeks and just chat. I feel like once you hit your mid 20s it can be hard to have close friends so I'm thankful for the friendships I have and not wanting to let them go.

My dizziness got really bad on Tuesday and once again I am over it, it's increasing a lot more frequently (it's gone from every 12 weeks to every 6 weeks and now every 3 weeks). It's actually gotten to the point where I'm not sure if I could handle employment at the moment as the dizziness is affecting so much and I only really have energy for half a day at the best times. My doctor is sending me for a dye contrast MRI this Tuesday and I am praying that it shows something. I know it's strange to pray that they find something wrong but its been 18 months of dizziness and I need answers. I had an MRI a year ago but without dye contrast and it didn't show anything but I am hopeful that having the dye will show something. For a while now I have had this feeling that a dye contrast MRI would show the missing piece of the puzzle because I honestly think we're missing something that the first MRI didn't show. If it doesn't show anything then there is a clinic over east that specialises in dizziness so it might be worth going there. Thankfully it's in the same city that Hamilton is showing in so I could combine the appointment with the Hamilton trip which would save money. But I really don't want to see and pay for yet another specialist to only get told they can't help me and to live with this dizziness.

Onto Friday Favourites...

Lil' Mates Alphabet Keyring - yes I know that I don't need another letter keyring but I couldn't go past Smiggle's latest ones. I love the Australian animal theme and the design is really cute. I use these keyrings on everything from clutches to my keys to backpacks there's a chance I have an alphabet keyring on it. Also available in blue which is cute and has some different animals on it.

Nude by Nature Luminous Stars 15 Piece Brush Set - I decided at the start of the year to treat myself to some new make up brushes when I put in an order for my powder. These brushes are really good and they apply the make up really well and feel so soft. I also like how they have the name/purpose of the brush on the handle which is something I am horrible at remembering (most of the time I don't really care what brush is what but there are times when I am following a tutorial and you need specific brushes).

Spot Clear Salicylic Acid Patch - stress has been causing my skin to breakout and I saw these and decided to give them ago. I placed them on the angry spots that had been forming on my forehead (where all my stress breakouts happen) and overnight they almost disappeared.

Disney Plus and Star - I was so excited when Disney Plus expanded with a whole lot more TV shows and movies. I'm really enjoying rewatching old favourites (such as Greek, American Housewife and Red Band Society) and discovering new favourites (such as Private Practice, For the People and Last Man Standing).

Peanut butter oatmeal cookies - I made these on Wednesday and they are really good. Plus being made with oats and peanut butter they aren't the unhealthiest cookies and they are perfect for a mid afternoon treat. I did half a batch plain and half a batch with chocolate and both types are really good.
