Letters to my future husband

A few years ago I was reading a book (it was one of these books not sure what one) and the main charcter begins to write letters to her future husband saying little things like how I am praying for you etc, I always thought this was an awesome idea but never got around to doing it, till now. Last month I decided that not only should I begin to pray for my future husband but write letters to him, so I bought a notebook and covered it with some paper and wrote my first letter to him. I honestly just intend to write letters in the book whenever I am inspired too so far it only has two letters in it but I know that by the time my wedding day comes around it will be filled. I honestly think that every girl should do this as not only is it a great 'journal' as such but can you imagine your husbands face when you give it to him?!

Things I am loving at the moment

I am currently loving so many things so here is a list of the top items:
  • Britt Nicole's latest album Gold is so good, it was released today on iTunes and its amazing. I have been listening to it nonstop today and each time it just gets better.
  • Easter is soon (I think this time in 2 weeks it will be Good Friday) and I am loving getting ready for it. Today I made ten chicks using Mum's sewing machine for Easter and they turned out super cute.
  • Chocolate, self explanitory every girls need her chocolate.
  • The weather is getting cooler which is nice, I can't wait to wear my boots and jeans every day and not have to worry about wearing my sunglasses everytime I walk to the bus or shops. Also bring on the rain!
  • Reading and putting my feet up when I get home from a full on day of TAFE.
  • Almost being halfway with my TAFE course I am honestly really happy and proud of myself, now I have to pray I get the perfect job for me.
This is just a taste of the things I am loving at the moment :)

Cyber Bullying

I'm the type of girl who doesn't care what anybody thinks, but I haven't always been this way. Throughout my 12 schooling years I was always bullied, it sucked, I hated going to school at times. Honestly I doubt if it wasn't for God and my family I wouldn't be here today.

I have been bullied in every way possible: Physically (kicked and had stuff thrown at me), Mentally, Verbally (Untrue rumours circling getting called names etc), and Cyberlly (over Facebook). I have had friends (now ex friends) bully me, people both younger and older bully me, class mates bully me.
Teachers have either noticed it and done something about it, noticed it and ignored it (thinking it would get solved on its own, which is RARELY DOES!) or not noticed it.

There has recently been a huge media focus on cyber bullying, I was cyber bullied by a guy when I was 15 it was horrible. When your verbally, physically and even mentally bullied you can escape it at home, cyber bullying brings it into your own home you can't escape it. When I was cyber bullied teachers at school didn't want anything to do with it as it wasn't on school propery or during school hours even though the guy doing it was at school with me. In the end my Dad ended up screen printing the messages and emailing them to the school, only then did it stop. Now schools are much more aware of it and are finally taking responsibility for it and dealing with it, this makes kids who are getting cyber bullied realise that they are not alone and that they can get help.

Its hard getting bullied and cyber bullying just ups it by bringing it into your own home, the one place you think you are safe. There is a great book called Destroying Avalon that focuses on cyber bullying and how bad it can destroy a person, it really opens your eyes to the issue.

Love (and Barcodes drawing)

I've never had a boyfriend and to be honest it hasn't really bothered me much, considering that I have always had a lot of things on my plate (anxiety, a sister with Down Syndrome, school struggles ect just to name a few). When I was 13 (I think) I was told that the reason you start dating is to find a husband, not just because everyone is doing it. There have been times when I have thought that it would be nice to have a boyfriend, but saying that at those times I couldn't have handled one. Last year my father gave me permission to date (saying that I could date any guy as long as they are Christian ) but that was the year I gave up boys (that didn't quite go as planned as I had boy troubles for a while! But apart from that it worked out) so I could focus on school. I think I knew I couldn't handle being in my last year of school and having a boyfriend, also life gave me some major hurdles to get over (which I did). This year I am finally ready to have a boyfriend and though I dont have one at the moment, I can't wait to. But if I don't have one thats fine too as I know God has the right guy out there for me. Love isn't meant to be easy and I think everyone deep down knows it, though most people just it expect it to go perfectly so when something bad happens they give up on it. Love shouldn't be easy as it makes the good times that much sweeter.
My friend Barcode drew this picture yesterday and I knew I could do a post around it including love. Its a different style to what she normally does but it is a great piece of work and can't wait to see what else she comes up with this style (I am picturing 2 other works similar to this one and linked to it, but I'm not her so I can't say what she will draw next)

I saw someone today, someone who I hadn't seen in over year. I don't know if he saw me but when I saw him even from a distance it was clear that something was missing from his life, his eyes had lost the shine they had had when I last saw him.

I saw you today, I don't know if you noticed
or if I was just one of the many faces
that blurred past you

Your eyes were empty and you didn't look
quite like yourself,
like a piece of you was missing

When I saw you the past came back
but with it peace

I am glad I saw you
as your eyes gave me a glance into your world
and I could see that even though you act
like everything is fine
something is missing from it.

Because your eyes never lie.

A very random post

Its been a week since I have posted and once again I am kicking myself for not doing it often! I have the time, I could post here most days yet when I have the time to do it I am either uninspired or it doesn't cross my mind (I am really considering sticking a sight to the computer monitor that says 'Have you blogged yet/today?'). Which is why I am doing it right now even though I have no idea what to type about. For some reason I feel like doing a list of random things that have happened this past week, so please enjoy:

  • I finally drove today after not having driven a car since December. I did ok and didn't kill anything (or anyone).
  • I finally used my Mum's sewing machine (I would say new but we have had it for 3 years, but its still new to me as I didn't use it until today) and made 2 cute owls in under an hour, they aren't yet complete as we have to buy some stuffing for them and I need to sew on there eyes but they turned out really and I had no disasters (read yelling at the machine).
  • I had TAFE homework that I should've done today, but honestly I couldn't be bothered installing the program on the computer (my dear Father has put this lock on the computer which means you need either his or Mum's password (which I don't know) to install or download a program) I will get around to doing it just I didn't do it today.
  • My kitten, Chickpea has been catching us lizards and cockcroaches then bringing them into the living room and playing with them, its the thought that counts right?
  • I finally won a battle against my parents, I don't have to go to church with them in the morning! As long as I go to church at night. They said it would be nice if I went with them on a Sunday morning but they are not forcing me to. I am so happy about this.
  • On Sunday it will be a year since my ball. I can't believe how fast time flies!
So this is my very random post, I hope you enjoyed now please excuse while I go and try to catch a kitten who currently chasing a fly and may do some damage to the house if I don't distract her!
